The Southern Oases From Tangier

Desert, Oasis, Kasbah, High Atlas and cities of 1001 nights. The fertile valley of Draâ with date palms, trees with laurel flowers and countless Kasbahs and Ksour.
Zagora, the former caravan station “From there, it is only 52 days to reach Timbuktu”.

Arrival at the port of Tangier. Departure to Fez. Dinner and accommodation at the selected hotel in Fez.

Departure for the Middle Atlas towards Erfoud.
You will leave the city of Fez then direction towards the south of Morocco.
You will cross the Middle Atlas over the Zad Pass, crossing the mountains and then reach the town of Midelt.
It was founded at the beginning of this century as a military base.
It is best known for its mining industry.
Then you continue south, arriving at the pass of Tizi N’Talrhemt, the vegetation begins to change, before reaching the city of Errachidia.
You will travel along a plateau cut by the Ziz Valley, which offers its new visitor a splendid view over the valley with the red-brown Ksour, the special construction of the houses and the green gardens of the oasis which surround the Walls of the valley.
Late afternoon, you will reach the town of Erfoud for dinner and accommodation in a selected hotel.

Early departure via Alnif and Tazzarine via the Tizi-n-Tafilalet pass in Zagora.
This beautiful course with many small oases, which at the time was a trail for caravans.
The different gardens of this oasis are protected by high walls.
On the outskirts of Zagora there is an old sign which indicates “52 days in Timbuktu with a caravan of camels”.

After breakfast, you will leave on the road of the 1001 Kasbahs, crossing the Tizi-n-Taddert passing before arriving at the oasis of Skoura.
From there you can see El-Mansou Eddahbi Lake, where there is a beautiful view of the mountain range of Djebel Saghro before reaching Ouarzazate.
Dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you leave Ouarzazate for the east, to El Kelaa de Mgouna and then continue through the 1001 Kasbah road in the direction of Tinghir.
About 1 km behind the town of Tinghir, the road leads to impressive Todra Gorges, which are formed by erosion.
Their nearly vertical rock walls are 300m high and 10m wide.
Then return to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

You will leave the city of Ouarzazate north to Ksar Ait Benhaddou, famous for its Kasbah.
You will cross a fantastic landscape at Tizi-n-Tichka Mountain (2260 m), a spectacular example of the High Atlas Mountains.
This road is one of the most picturesque and impressive of the mountains of Morocco.
Later, you will pass by the massive plateau of Haouz, before reaching the city of MarrakeSh for dinner and accommodation in a selected hotel.

Sie sehen unter anderem die Koutoubia-Moschee, die Menara, die Saadier-Gräber, den Bahia-Palast, das Bab Agnaou, ältestes Tor der Stadtmauer, die Souks, sowie den Place Djemaael-Fna.

Departure to Casablanca, the second largest city in Africa, located on the Atlantic coast and the largest industrial and commercial center of the continent.
You then reach Rabat, the administrative capital and the residence of the king.
You will visit the outer part of the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum Mohamed V.
Continuation to Tangier, dinner and accommodation.

After breakfast, transfer to the port of Tangier.
