South-west of Morocco From Tangier

The city of Fez is the religious and cultural center of Andalusian art with more than 400 mosques, medersas and wells.
The city is a labyrinth of small streets, there are small workshops of artisans where everything is done by hand.
You return to the Middle Ages. During the visit, we see the Zaouia (mausoleum) of Moulay Idriss I, the Mosque of Karaouine, one of the oldest mosques and schools in the Arab world, the Medersa Attarine, the Koranic school with its large blue door. This city is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Your journey will take you south through the plain of Saïs, different landscapes, cereal fields and fruit gardens before reaching the Atlas mountains. You will continue to Ifrane, a city with many tourists during the summer and a ski resort in winter.
Then you continue through the mountains, crossing an area marked by fruit plantations, fields and forests as far as Khenifra.
After Khenifra, you will travel through a plateau, crossed by the river Oum Er Rbia, and
The agricultural center of Tadla, before arriving in Marrakesh for dinner and lodging.

Visit the city of Marrakesh, the Palmeraie located in the mountains of the High Atlas, an oasis on the edge of the desert.
In this city you will have a feeling of Africa and the Orient at the same time.
At the entrance of the city, more than 100,000 palm trees rise and offer a splendid view.
The lively souks, the Palmeraie and the red buildings give a desert stamp to Marrakesh.
You will visit the Koutoubia mosque, a “work of art” of Hispano-Moorish architecture, the gardens of the Menara, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, the oldest gate of the Medina, the souks, the famous place Djemaa-el-Fna, where all day long, you can find traders, storytellers, jugglers, musicians, card players always with very long queues!

After breakfast, drive to Taroudant. Fertile fields, gardens, olive groves and orange trees surround Taroudant and make it the center of agriculture in the Souss.
Interesting to see the 8 km long and 8 to 14 m high walls, as well as the souks.
Continue through the plain of Souss. Dinner and overnight in Agadir.

Departure to Tiznit then to Tafraoute where the houses are spread over a plateau of 1200 m, overlooking a picturesque valley of the Anti Atlas.
Climb into the beautiful fertile valley of Ammeln, where the birds’ nests are drowned in the cavities of the rocky slopes.
Dinner and overnight in Agadir.

Drive to Essaouira, one of the most beautiful cities on the Atlantic coast of Morocco.
Essaouira has always attracted artists, musicians and surfers, thanks to the constant wind of the city.
Essaouira is also famous for its carpentry adorned with wood Thuja.

Drive to El Jadida. Here, in particular the “Portuguese City” is interesting. Most of the houses in this town are built in Portuguese style. Continue to Casablanca, the second largest city in Africa. Then in Rabat, the present capital of Morocco and the residence of the king. Visit to the Royal Palace, the unfinished Hassan Tower – the symbol of the city, and the magnificent mausoleum of the deceased kings Mohammed V. and Hassan II. Dinner and overnight in Rabat.

Today, return to Tangier.
During your visit, you will see the new city, with its foreign (Spanish, American and Italian) neighborhoods, the Kasbah, the former government, the main trade route between the Grand Socco and the Petit Socco with the various souks.
