Imperial cities of Morocco – with only a few hotel changes and lots of free time. Such is the motto of this journey! We have designed this trip so special for amateurs, seniors, and for people who do not always want to pack their bags.

Reception of the group at the airport of Casablanca. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and accommodation.

 

Visit of Rabat, the capital of Morocco and the residence of the King. Rabat exercises with its high altitude, picturesque Kasbah and its main interesting sites, a particular fascination on foreign tourists. Visit the Royal Palace (from the outside), the Hassan Tower – the symbol of the city, the Kasbah of the Oudayas, the Chellah and the magnificent mausoleum of the late Kings Mohammed V and Hassan II. Continuation towards Fez. Dinner and overnight.

 

The city of Fez is the religious and cultural center of Andalusian art with more than 400 mosques, medersas and wells. The city is a labyrinth of narrow streets. There are small workshops of craftsmen, where everything is done by hand. You return to the Middle Ages.
During the visit, we see the Zaouia (mausoleum) of Moulay Idriss I, the mosque of Karaouine of the oldest mosques and schools in the Arab world. The Medersa Attarine, the Koranic school with its large blue door. This town is classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Expected dinner and accommodation at a selected hotel in Fez.

Drive to Meknes. Visit the second royal city of the kingdom. Gigantic walls surrounded the relief of the powerful city of Sultan Moulay Ismail. Continue to Moulay Idriss, the holy city and important pilgrimage destination of Morocco. Next to Volubilis are the Roman ruins. Visit the well-preserved vestiges of temples and baths, decorated with mosaics.
Return to Fez, dinner and lodging.

Your trip will take you south through the plain of Saïs. Discover different landscapes with cereals, fields and fruit gardens, before reaching the Atlas Mountains.
You will continue to Ifrane city. The destination of many tourists during summer and winter. Afterwards continue through the mountains, crossing an area marked by fruit plantations, fields and forests as far as Khenifra. Then you will travel through a plateau, crossed by the River Oum Er Rbia, and the agricultural center of the plain of Tadla. Dinner and overnight in Marrakesh.

Visit the city of Marrakesh, the Palmeraie located in the mountains of the High Atlas, an oasis on the edge of the desert. In this city you will have a feeling of Africa and the Orient as well. At the entrance of the city, more than 100,000 palm trees rise and offer a splendid view. The lively souks, the Palmeraie and the red buildings give a desert stamp to Marrakech. You will visit the Koutoubia mosque, a “work of art” of Hispano-Moorish architecture, the gardens of the Menara, the Saadian Tombs, the Bahia Palace, Bab Agnaou, the oldest gate of the Medina, the souks, the famous place Djemaa-el-Fna, where all day long, you can discover traders, storytellers, jugglers, musicians and card players always on very long lines!

 

At leisure in Marrakesh.
Optional: Half-day excursion to Ourika.
You will leave Marrakesh, in a beautiful valley of the High Atlas. On both sides of the valley there are Berber women who grow fruits and vegetables using traditional methods of irrigation. You can admire the traditional cuisine of Berber bread on a wood fire.
Dinner and overnight in Marrakesh.

 

Return to Casablanca airport for departure.
